The joy of shopping online and none of the hassle of waiting for delivery.
The new service more and more shops are offering is to allow you to
order or reserve online and then go to the store yourself to pick up
your shopping.
This is a brilliant service and works well with lots of shops already
like Argos, PC World, Comet, and lots of other big name stores.

Ordering online is something we all know how to do, but sometimes you
want to have the item immediately, but want to check stock levels
before you go out and buy something. There’s no point with the price
of petrol going back up, making wasted journeys to the shopping centre
or out of store shopping mall if the item won’t be in stock when you
get there. There’s then the risk that they will sell out before you
get there – this is especially true with new products that there’s
enormous demand for. If you would like to make sure you get what
you’re after then ordering online and then picking it up instore makes
perfect sense. Some shops allow you to just reserve the item so you
can make sure it’s in stock but other shops want you to pay for the
item before – when you actually order it online.

It’s a fantastic service that is an essential when you’re dealing with
buying specific items that are in high demand. Avoid wasted journeys
and reserve the items you want to buy online before making the journey
to the shop. One of the shops we’ve found this useful with is Comet.
When buying a laptop you want to research carefully and being able to
look through their site online beforehand and make the decision whilst
reading reviews and product descriptions at home makes great sense.
It’s much less stressful ordering online at Comet and then going and
picking up the item in person. It’s good for other items too that you
want in a hurry but want to make sure you get the best price possible.

Picking up the item in store is easy too – just print off a receipt
off the order at home and take it with you. Sometimes they only need a
simple reference code to make sure you get your shopping. I think it’s
a brilliant idea that helps combine the ease of shopping online with
the speed of shopping instore.
