Save money on your heating bills
Don’t you ever wonder how to save money on your heating bills? In the current financial climate saving money any way possible is very important. Over a year the budget on heating systems can reach the £1000’s. Avoid these bills by following the simple tips from plumberparts.
First lets look at your heating components. It’s important to keep your boiler serviced once a year. This cleans out the combustion chamber and allows easier heat transfer from the flame to the water.
Always have a well flushed heating system and have it inhibited properly. You can add as much inhibitor as you like. It doesn’t hurt your heating system.
Make sure your pump spins freely and has a clean flange body to function in.
Close control of heating components is vital to saving money and making your home more energy efficient. First install a wall thermostat. This will measure the temperature in the room and control the boiler, pump and zone valves accordingly. Next, install Thermostatic Radiator Valve’s (TRV’s) on all your radiators. Don’t fit one in the same room as the wall thermostat as this will affect it’s readings. Once you have done this you must set them to the desired temperature. Just leaving them fully open does nothing. Usually the number ‘3′ equates to 21 degrees celcius.
To save even more money you can ask your heating engineer to fit a smaller nozzle on your boiler (should you have a oil boiler). Unfortunatley you can’t down rate a gas boiler.
Now you should have a much more cost effective heating system that will save you money and make you feel comfortable. Enjoy!
